Tom Davis

Tom is Chairman of the Board of the group holding company and serves as the group’s Chief Executive Officer. He has been with Meridian Fund Services since October 2000.

Tom has over thirty years of experience in the financial services industry. He has held a number of senior management roles in the funds services division of the Bank of Bermuda in Guernsey, Luxembourg, New York and in his native Bermuda. After leaving the Bank he helped to form, and was the chief executive and a part owner of, two Bermuda based licensed trust companies, one of which was affiliated with Olympia Capital, a hedge fund services company of which he also served as senior vice president.

Tom has an undergraduate degree in business studies from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, an MBA degree from York University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and was awarded with a degree in Chartered Accountancy by the Institutes of Chartered Accountants of Nova Scotia and Bermuda.

A long and varied service to the community includes serving as the chairman of the Bermuda International Business Association, president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bermuda, chairman of the trustees of the Whitney Educational Trust and service on numerous government and charitable boards. Tom was appointed to be a Justice of the Peace by the Bermuda Government in recognition of his service to the community.

Sharon Davis

Sharon is the Senior Vice President, Corporate and Compliance for Meridian Fund Services, worldwide. She is also the company secretary for our holding company.

Sharon joined Meridian Fund Services (Bermuda) Limited in 2001 and is responsible for ensuring that the corporate records, filings and compliance are in place for both Meridian Fund Services and the funds we administer. She also has the responsibility for establishing and monitoring our compliance policies and procedures and the adherence thereto. Additionally, she serves as an officer for several other Meridian Fund Services companies.

Sharon has over 27 years experience in corporate administration. Prior to joining Meridian Fund Services, she was the treasurer/accountant for a Bermuda-based investment management company serving captive insurance companies. She also served twelve years as a corporate services administrator for Exxon Financial Services Company Limited and corporate secretary for the Exxon companies based in Bermuda. Before joining Exxon, she held the post of executive secretary at Mello & Jones and the Bank of N.T. Butterfield & Sons Ltd.

She attended the University of Maryland University College and has obtained Corporate Procedures Certificates issued by the Bermuda Branch of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.

Ian Esterhuysen

Ian Esterhuysen is the Senior Vice President, Fund Services for Meridian Fund Services (Bermuda) Limited. He joined Meridian in 2007 as a Senior Fund Accountant. Ian was promoted to Vice President, Fund Services in July 2009. Prior to joining Meridian, Ian was an Audit Senior at Deloitte in Bermuda from 2005-2007. Prior to that, he was an Assistant Manager at KPMG Durban, South Africa, in 2005.

Ian received his Bachelor of Commerce Honours (Accounting) at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa. He received his Charted Accountant designation in 2005, and in 2009 he received his Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation.

Roxanne Franks

Roxanne’s first position with Meridian Fund Services in January 2006 was Vice President, Investor Relations. Roxanne moved to the Executive Office in 2007, where she assists the CEO with his responsibilities. She also oversees the intake of new business and changes to existing business.

Roxanne has spent over 30 years in the hedge fund industry, starting at The Bank of Bermuda ("The Bank") in 1977. She worked in several areas within the Alternative Funds area, learning many aspects of servicing the business. She eventually was responsible for a team providing investor relations and support services for the Bank’s clients as well as their in-house funds. In 1994, she transferred to The Bank’s Cayman Islands office and headed their Investor Relations department. Returning to Bermuda in 2002, Roxanne oversaw the launch of new funds and the transition of established funds from other administrators.
